About the Author

Hello readers! Are you out there?
Well, either way, my name is Meagan. It's greek, it means pearl (or so claims o sacred internet). My initials spell out M-E-R, and mer is the French word for ocean. But my first and last initials, M-R, are the reason I got teased in second grade (Hey Mister! Come here!)
Generally people refer to me as Meg, though. And that's me up there. It's my favorite self-portrait I've ever taken of myself, so it seems fitting to put it on this.

I kind of wish I was wittier so that this page won't be so plain...

Maybe I shouldn't tell you how old I am. If I do, I know that some people will turn away from this blog. And honestly, I do want readers.
...
I'm fourteen. And I have a lot to learn, but I've also been told that I really have a gift for writing. So you do what you want, but I think that'd be kind of bigoted.

There's nothing really significant about me. I'm a freshman in high school. I don't know how to write about myself. As per usual, I'm on my cliché little journey to find myself. A general description: I like folk music and classical. I'm a classical pianist. I adore photography and writing. I have really, really low self esteem, but not about my appearance; I've come to the painful conclusion that I don't hate anyone at all, but myself. But that's okay. Whatever. I have a thing for languages and the arts. And grammar. Oh goodness, don't hate me for being the grammar police...

So, with this blog, I plan to combine my love of photography with my love of writing. I'm completely open to [constructive] criticism from anyone that reads. I hope you enjoy, as I will.
